Developing a Local Networking App with Event Location-Based Networking

Our Solution

To address these challenges, we proposed and developed a comprehensive local networking app tailored to the needs of Flok. Our solution included the following key components:

1. User-Centric Design:

We created a modern, visually appealing, and user-friendly design that ensures a seamless experience for users. The design prioritised easy navigation and intuitive interfaces to facilitate quick connections and interactions.

2. Location-Based Networking:

The core feature of the app was its location-based networking capability. Using GPS and beacon technology, the app allowed users to see and connect with nearby attendees in real-time during events.

3. Event Customization:

We developed a flexible framework that allowed event organisers to customise the app for their specific events. This included features like event agendas, speaker profiles, and personalised networking suggestions.

4. Real-Time Chat and Messaging:

The app included a robust messaging system that enabled users to chat and share contact information instantly. This feature ensured that connections made during events could be followed up on easily.

Implementation Process

1. Discovery and Planning:

We conducted a thorough discovery phase to understand Flok’s goals, target audience, and key requirements. This involved stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs).

2. Design and Development:

Our design team created wireframes and prototypes to visualise the app’s layout and functionality. Once approved, we proceeded with the development phase, building the app for both iOS and Android platforms.

3. Location and Interaction Features:

We integrated GPS and beacon technology for location-based networking and developed a robust real-time chat and messaging system to facilitate instant communication.

4. Testing and Optimization:

We conducted rigorous testing to ensure the app was free of bugs and performed well across different devices and operating systems. We also optimized the app for speed and user experience.

5. Launch and Support:

We assisted Flok in launching the app and provided training sessions for their staff. Additionally, we offered ongoing support to address any issues and provide updates as needed.
